With my non 14.1 friends I play alternate shots. It gives them a a chance to shoot and get some of the stragety of the game. We play to 25 or 50 then switch games. After a while they want to shoot more than one ball at a time. . . Andy

I can't think of any other situation where a ball would be spotted. The idea of spotting balls is to keep the ball count right for the rack. Andy

If the first touch of an object is unintentional, in a game without a ref it is not a foul; but you must give your opponent the opportunity to replace the ball. Touching the ball the second time is intentional and because of the intent is a foul. Just one man’s opinion. Andy

Try setting up the same break shot (a couple of marks on the table) and hit the break shot several times with different speeds and english. You may be supprised at the different spreads and cue ball position you get from the same break shot. Andy

I think the answer depends on the layout of the building. Long and narrow vs square vs l-shaped. A foorprint would help. Don't forget the non playing areas, register counter restrooms etc. Andy

Lets try this again. If 16 players buy into round six it is a four round tournament. I said there should be a limit of the number of entries that can be bought, as an arbitrary number make it 8, total. This will force other players to compete in the lower rounds. I done. Andy
