Draw vs Follow Which is Harder to Execute

There are many reasons as to why, but some players have developed more natural draw strokes. So for some, draw control is easier. By the book though, follow is more natural....and therefore typically easier.

    NAPA n NOLA

Just started NAPA myself. So far, I like it better than apa. Shorter nights, longer sets, and jump cues allowed.

    How would you play this

I like the combo with enough follow to hit the short rail. Follow is so much more accurate than a jump.....better control too.

Does the amount of deflection on a LD Shaft depend on which side is up?

.......But if you do see someone rotate their shaft rather purposefully, it's probably to avoid a bad ding in the wood.

    Pool room near Middletown, NY?

Dave, there are no pool rooms in Middletown. Best you are gonna find, is Gallery Billiards in Newburgh. There is also another place not too far away, Village Billiards, in Warwick. Kinda sucky, I know. But anyway, good luck!

Thanks again CJ. Are you sure its not the swerve that changes with speed, as PJ said earlier, and now Mike? Meaning, does speed influence deflection on short distance shots too..... shots that don't involve swerve?

Thanks CJ, I think I am beginning to finally understand the method. I thought that was what you meant all this time, but I didn't want to assume anything. By "all this time" I mean ever since I began reading your posts. I'm probably not the first person who will say this to you, but here...

Thanks CJ. When you say "so If I hit the inside of the pocket (where I'm aligned to) the very next shot I'll increase my shot, which cuts the object ball slightly more. When you say "increase my shot" do you mean increase shot speed or tip location?

Great answer Mike, thanks so much. That all makes perfect sense, as usual. I prefer to shoot without calculations too, but sometimes I also need to. Its that I don't remember hearing anything about throw on the video. I think CJ said something about cheating the pocket using speed, not...
