Hi Jennifer. I will be shipping the new cue for the benefit sometime this week. It looks like UPS is the best way to ship. I will send to address in your email. Thanks, Roger Pettit

Why can’t I just get better?

In reading your posts in the past, I believe you are fishing for a $50 or $100 sociable eight ball game. That would surely help you improve!

Best wax to use for the shaft

I used Lincoln neutral shoe polish in the 80s. Now I never put any wax on the shafts I build. Shaft is sealed with sanding sealer then I burnish with an index card. Stroke with the grain until your hand gets too hot. Smooth as glass.

Possible Cue Butt Straightening Device? (Too warped to turn down)

Another option is to have a cue builder reface the butt joint face between centers on a lathe. Makes the cue more playable.

Possible Cue Butt Straightening Device? (Too warped to turn down)

If your cue is wrapped, the underwrap may be the problem. If cue is worth it, rebuilding is a possibility. I have seen some ugly wood in the underwrap, and it is not sealed completely with a wrap.

You can eliminate discoloration with a wide tip black marker. Wrap may look better than new.

Tips on how to install leather wrap

An afterthought. If your straightedge is wide you can rest razorblade on it for both sides of the seam. No way to miscut angles.

Tips on how to install leather wrap

I use the tool rest on a craftsman wood lathe to cut the seam. If you have a 4 way tool post on a metal lathe, you can mount angle iron in it.

    Warped Shaft

I am under the impression these shafts have a lifetime warranty as long as they are not altered. Could be wrong, but worth looking into. Good luck.

    Options for warped forearm?

It was different colors. Similar to Spectraply I use. Cue in great shape for its age.

    Options for warped forearm?

Slipped my mind. Had one of your cues in my shop recently. Cocobolo with Ebony points. Just matched a Z shaft to the butt. I noticed your core. May be more stable than Keilwood. Nice finish and perfectly pressed linen. First cue of yours I have seen. Very impressive.

    Options for warped forearm?

I have been using keilwood as a core. Less chance of warping and a great hit.

    Baffled

Maybe screw in and screw back out a few times. May have some glue somewhere on the screw. Heat screw with propane torch to break it loose. Seems like it should come out.
