    I face shaft and ferrule with a razor sharp high speed cutter. If the bit gets dull there will be a glue line. Don't know if carbide bit can be sharpened to a sharp point.

    As a cuemaker I don't know if I was responsible for the cue. All I did was clean it. After all this time there is no way to remember who owns the cue. Never saw it again, or the owner.

    Brunswick slate compatibility

    It is possible to take mismatched slates to a woodworking co. and have the wood backing attached to the slate evened out on a thickness sander. Run the slates wood side up through the sander until all pieces are the same thickness.
