lets agree to disagree. i play at both pool halls and i am confident the majority of tables at either place are about the same.

great article: one of pittsburgh's finest

i agree that diamond tables play better. one benefit is the rails are more lively than gold crowns so its easy to get around the table. those hard gold crown rails make it necessary to stroke the cue ball harder at times and rely often on a draw stroke which we all know can sometimes get us...

great article: one of pittsburgh's finest

this isnt accurate information. the pocket sizes are smaller than most breakers tables. table 15 at SGC, for example, is a triple shimmed table and the stadium table in the rear of the room is double shimmed. the problem with golden cues table is the ball return style pockets. they reject...

great article: one of pittsburgh's finest

breakers is a great pool hall but its lack of parking accomidations keep some players away. but its nice to play on tables with pockets that accept the balls easily. SGC has a ball return set-up and its not uncommon to have a few balls rejected when its needed to let your stroke out.

New to Playing for The Money

when gambling, when someone spots you a ball or two how does this exactly work? everyone i have always played for money against was straight up. for example: if someone where to spot me the 8 ball in a 9-ball game... not thread jacking. adding to the getting weight scenario.

    Excuses, excuses

i think the reason pool player make alot of excuses becuase alot of the times we beat ourselves and allow our opponent to take advantage of our mistakes. the winning player isnt always the most skilled player, it the player that makes the least mistakes.... especially in 9-ball.haha

    Personal Pool Hall

far as i know they are designed for people to keep valuables where temperature differentials can damage the items. i.e. antique furniture and art. also, alot of guys keep their antique cars and motorcycles in the climate controlled units. i assume these type of units are costly.
