    54" two piece cue

I'm looking for a 52-54" two piece for my son. He is 14 and is only 4 1/2 feet tall. He won't be getting any bigger. Anyway he has not had any interest in pool until recently. He is using the old "Frog" jump cue. So, I'm looking for a decent two piece for him. Thanks. Bob

Do You Want Pool to be a Business or a Sport?

If there was someone would be televising it. I'm not sure of this but I don't think the Challenge of Champions is carried on ESPN any longer.

Do You Want Pool to be a Business or a Sport?

Sad but pool will never be big on tv. When professionals play at their high level pool is boring to only a very few. Every shot looks easy because they know how to put the cue ball on a dime. I would love it to happen. It almost did in the 90's but, as pool always seems to do, the players ended...

    Why You Miss

You know, every time I see a post by you I end up singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" and getting an ear worm with it for the rest of the day.

    I'm getting tired of slumps

Have the same slump myself every December and January. I finally discovered last year that the solution was simple. I was gripping the cue too tight and hitting the balls too hard. Particularly on my failed attempt to draw the ball. I made sure I lined up the contact point, let my front two...

Value of used 7' and 9' Tables

Hello guys. I'm working on something and I am interested in a professional's opinion of what the value of a used Diamond table in 7' and 9' Coin-op and non coin op (Smart table; Professional and Pro-Am) be in say 2 years, 3 years and 5 years. I have represented that retail value of a used table...

    pool stick - SOLD

Just asked two questions. Not to be a meanie, but your grandfather could be 40 years old. You made a statement that it was from the '30's. Curious how you would know that for certain. Not to be a rude, immature (I'm 65) meanie but if I told you I would pay you with a "collectable coin that is...

    pool stick - SOLD

Curious, how you would "know" that this was built in the 30's and not know the cuemaker? Also, the shaft is "tiger wood"? Seems like a fairly in-the-know term for "just a female". Looks like a newer shaft and not a well aged 85 year old shaft.

    Need help!

Shame on me...I thought I had said "thank you". One question though; how do I get the thinner between the glued slates? Put it on a putty knife and push it between? Bob

    Need help!

The slates are standing in the dolly tightly secured. I don't have a heating gun but if that is the way to go I can rent one from a tool rentals. Do you heat the side of the slate and pry? They are only stuck on the sides where the glue secured the table cloth. Bob

    Need help!

So, my son had a table in his garage. They decided to redo their garage. He broke down the table and stored it for the winter in a storage pod. He took the three slates and secured them on one dolly. Problem is the cloth was put on with glue so when the cloth removed and the slates put together...

You can own Kevin Trudeau's pool cue

I always wondered what his end game was with the Pro Tour? What did he plan to do? Who was getting scammed. I vaguely remember something with an Asian casino and them merging or being acquired. Bob

So read any good books lately? This one is a pretty decent read. Written about pool players by a pool player. Bob
