    TAR 35 Format Poll

I think it should be done in a way that guarantees 3 days of matches. Even if they play races to 25, it shouldn't be a 2 out of 3 proposition, all 3 sets should be played. I do prefer the all around format myself as I get bored easily with strictly rotation games. JMHO Sherm

    Funny pic/gif thread...

Yeah, that one went over my head too, I guess.

    Mike Lambros or Mike Webb?

You couldn't go wrong with either. Both do a great job.

Is there an app or a website i can use to draw my cue out and post my design on az?

I don't think you'll have to worry about it getting stolen. ;)

    What's wrong with APA rules?

I've been avoiding APA threads for the last couple of years. I've already made my points and see no need to beat a dead horse. But this thread asked a specific question that should be answered. The problem with APA rules as I see it is that they were specifically designed to make the APA more...

What is it that makes the top players fall off?

It's all about concentration & intensity. As you grow older it's much harder to keep the intensity in your concentration. Sherm

Is Charlie Williams the most powerful man in pro-pool?

If he was, I'd take up bowling or poker.

    Cuttyhunk

All you can really do is have a competent cuesmith wrap a cue with it and see how it comes out. See how well it presses, looks, fits and feels. It's not "Cortland", it's not a huge score, but it may be a great wrap just the same and as such at least a little score. GL Sherm

    Stevie Moore shaking

Rodney Keowne from Kentucky used to have the shakes so bad at times I wondered how he hit the cueball at all, but he still ran out pretty good. Sherm

    Who Has Played CJ??

He was the top banker in the world for several years. I think Gary would agree that Eddie Taylor, was, in his prime, the best ever in the world. Maybe Bugs at his top second and Gary third, Brumback closing in behind fourth, and so on and so on and so on.......... Sherm

    Who Has Played CJ??

That's about the truth. Earl probably had more 5 packs than every one else in history combined. lol That might be a bit of a stretch but they were so common with Earl, they were just expected! And he made it look so easy too. If all the "Earl knockers" out there really understood the level that...

    Who Has Played CJ??

No, we knew about C.J. We thought it would be a tough game game but we gave him some action hoping to get him stuck a little and/or switch to banks or one-hole. Don't think Gary couldn't play 9-ball. He had a winning record with Buddy, Davenport and many other great players. He out-moved C.J...

    Who Has Played CJ??

C.J. came to my poolroom back in the 80's. I didn't play him but I put Gary in action against him. I didn't see much of that safety play Jay mentioned, but I did see some of his firepower. He was one of very few that ever beat Gary in my poolroom for my money! Bugs tried several times and...

    Is this ferrule off center?

That's probably just because of a threaded tenon.

    zebrawood> anybody want it?

Most of the cues made by Bill Hagan were made from 3/4" pieces planed flat and glued up. Seems like they'd be lots of opportunities to use thinner stock with the style cues you build, Brent? Sherm

    Wake up already....

Well put Chris! I'm also sick of the "HATERS" who hide behind their screen names knocking the folks who actually put it all out there for us. If you don't have something positive to say, most of the time, it's better to keep your trap shut and not let everyone know just how stupid you actually...

    1/2 joint

It's a design element, plain and simple. There's no scientific secrets or magic potions involved, a cuemaker does it because "he can". Some do it better than others. lol
