This is what I was thinking and looking into, I'm checking out ferrules now. I know meucci and dufferin, which I love the hit of were using polycarbonate(?) Plastic ferrules, any input on softer materials for ferrules?

You like what you like. Plenty of people like a softer hit, which inherently, is not on the higher end of the spectrum of crisp.

I'm not into crisp feedback, I like a more subtle response. Along the lines of OB and meucci, just looking to see what other options are out there.

I've tried that. I have soft or super soft tips on all my cues. I'm looking for a softter hitting shaft not just a soft tip.

It seems that most of the custom cues I've hit with tend to be stiffer. Are there any cue makers that make a cue with softer, more subtle or buttery hit? Also what shafts have you played with that you recommend for a softer or whippier hit? Thanks in advance.

So a ⅜x 10 would not be able to be retapped to radial ⅜x 8? It would need a new insert?

I'm not making any claims, simply asking a question. I shot the same bank, with the same balls, on the same table, multiple times with 4 different cues, including a shitty house cue. I made pretty much all the banks with the other three cues, but I missed every bank short with my new shaft...

Already got that taken care of.
