He has alternated between long and short cues over the past 13 years or so and if anything, he’s played better with the long cue

I've been playing with a carbon fiber shaft for about the past 3 years and the one shot that I still can’t get the hang of with it is back cuts- seems like you have to cut the ball more dramatically with carbon fiber. It just feels stiff on shots like that. Otherwise I like it overall.

I get what you are saying, but a shot clock is needed, otherwise it can really drag. Also, determining slow play without a shot clock is somewhat arbitrary- at least the shot clock means everybody has to play under the same rules
