UK Open 2025 Telford, UK, May 6-11

Apparently not- he posted on Facebook a few weeks ago that Hunter Lombardo had him demonstrate his ambidextrous abilities in front of his students getting lessons from Hunter and he just decided on the spur of the moment to return to shooting right handed. I haven't been watching this...

Whenever I see his name I can’t get earl’s voice out of my head from when he commentated old matches for the Billiard Network during the pandemic “Pijus to break!”

GENDER IN POOL ... Do Men Play Better Than Women? ... Recent Legal Trial

I think one complication is that small, regional tournaments would find it difficult to determine who is transgendered if the person doesn't publicly identify as such. Not all cases are obvious by appearance and it would take significant resources to run chromosomal and hormonal tests.

GENDER IN POOL ... Do Men Play Better Than Women? ... Recent Legal Trial

you may be correct about the tactical differences- perhaps Dave left that out because that would be more difficult to prove via statistics- not every match has an accu stats like tabulation- the TPA or whatever they call it

    What happened to David Maddux?

Am interesting accu stats match with Maddux & DiLiberto commentating. Is Maddux still with us? If so, would be great if he still did some commentary- very knowledgeable.

Fedor Gorst vs Tkon Nguyen race to 120 is Live

doesn't sound like a good idea to race to 120 when you have a neck problem

Congratulations to Mike Dechaine winning Smokey Mountain Shootout

I hope he continues to enter more high level tournaments. He isn't that old- should be able to return to his top form. On a side note, Stevie Moore won that tournament 5 times- good work! I wonder if he still plays at all.

How do you think she compare to Sofia Mast? Mast is a very solid player. I've watched both and can't really decide who is better.

I've heard that many of the guys from HOB now play at the Libertad Soccer Club on Olympic right next to Taco's Por Favor. I haven't been in there in a while though, but I've heard they upgraded the tables.

perhaps it should be a foul- but a loss of game? seems quite extreme.

    that is completely absurd

Iowa 2025 - Ultimate Pool USA

that was the point I was making- Shane actually did let it fall in the pocket- he just grabbed it out of the pocket before it could go through the ball return and they still called it a loss of game. As I stated earlier in this thread, I'm philosophically opposed to overly punitive rules. It is...

Fedor vs Shane argue with me

They should bring back the all around matches like TAR- 8 ball, 10 ball and 1 pocket or 14.1

Iowa 2025 - Ultimate Pool USA

I just philosophically disagree with the rule. If you touch the ball before it reaches the pocket, it is a foul. If the ball happens to not scratch and he never touches the ball, it’s not a foul. That’s the rules I favor. A loss of game should only be reserved for throwing the ball across the...

Iowa 2025 - Ultimate Pool USA

If you watch the video, he actually didn’t touch the cue ball until it fell in the pocket- that shouldn’t be a loss of game

Iowa 2025 - Ultimate Pool USA

I agree you shouldn’t catch the ball before it falls in the pocket, but that’s not what Shane did- he let the ball fall into the pocket and grabbed it before it went through the ball return- that shouldn’t be a loss of game

she might become a great player, but she may also plateau or eventually burn out. It may not be the the best idea to put all of your eggs in one basket in terms of becoming a pro pool player at age 16, but if that's what she and her parents decide is best for her, I hope she succeeds and...

    8 Ball Rule Question

the guy scratched- that's why it was ball in hand

Iowa 2025 - Ultimate Pool USA

they have a rule that you forfeit the game if you catch the ball AFTER it goes into the pocket- how stupid. Shane just lost a game because he grabbed the cue ball after he scratched in the corner pocket on his break. I like this tournament overall, but they have to get rid of that rule.
