That is just what Bill wrote on AZ in 2014. I guess Dan or Richard would have info. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/how-to-tell-if-i-have-a-cortland-wrap-or-irish-linen.363960/

What Cue Specs do you prefer?

Yes what i understand is Blue Mtn. manufactured Bills version of Cortland. In the 1970's when I heard they were going out of business because Dacron line was better for Commercial fishing I contacted Blue Mountain to get a replacement. The Courtland line was cable layed. That meant that all...

What Cue Specs do you prefer?

@surffisher2a I definitely would choose a 3/8x10 over the radial. Radial needs more torque to tighten and more than once I have had one loosen up on me in play. Even better if you want more vibration feedback in the butt go with a 3/8x10 modified.

What Cue Specs do you prefer?

True, but Cortland was manufactured different much finer and smoother as compared to modern irish linen. Think it was 9 fine strands rated a 3lbs per strand. Modern irish linen is basically just that... linen. Best comparison i could explain is Cortland is like fine worsted billiard cloth and...

What Cue Specs do you prefer?

Definitely, that is actual offset but the demon of changing to larger to smaller tip diameter or vice versa is the perceived offset. This is why players need to focus on contact points on the cueball and aligning the contact point with center of the shaft.

What Cue Specs do you prefer?

True, but if you are used to larger diameter shafts your perceived tip offset is completely different when applying sidespin. Give someone a 11.75 that's used to a 13 and I can guarantee will missing shots and not getting position and saying wow the whole time...this smaller diameter shaft...

‘93 unknown custom cue. Looks like it was made from a Southwest Satin or a real good copy from the cut of wood, taper of the butt and length of the wrap. Butt is dead straight.. Great hitting cue. Friend of mine obtained the butt without a shaft from someone and he just recently had Joe...

Number of Ferrules from Cue ball?

Well, I guess it doesnt have to be but long as its no shorter than 1". I figured out through trying to do some math that about 1.5" square fits inside a 2.25" diameter cueball.

Number of Ferrules from Cue ball?

Just wondering approximately how many 1.25" 13.25mm ferrules can you get out of a cue ball? I know you will have to account for thickness of cutting tool. Also, would it make a difference if it was ivory? 5 possibly?

    Kamui black soft or medium?

I am more confident with a Triangle because i admit im not a person that chalks every shot and I havent found a layered tip that holds chalk as well as a Triangle. I will shoot a whole game and never miscue with a Triangle tip only time i have to chalk is if im drawing or using a very hard...
