If you Own more than One Cue, do you Rotate em

Did you break the shaft from bending it or did it shatter from the impact force?

    Question about follow thru

I do this sometimes too. How tall are you? If your forearm is way forward of perpendicular at, or close to, contact then your cue tip will start going down. If you have a really long stroke you might shorten it up a bit, if you are tall and are running out of cue you might think of getting a...

If you Own more than One Cue, do you Rotate em

Hey, I resemble that remark! As for me, I tend to rotate the cues. I know that it makes it harder to know exactly how much this or that is going to deflect on different shots, but I also think that, like someone else said, it helps you to be able to adapt to different cues quicker. For...

    update #2

Thanks icon, it's tough to wait for a cue, although I'm getting plenty of "seasoning" with this one and the others I have on order! I agree Joe, the cue will definitely be worth the wait. I'm glad that I decided to only collect cues that I've had a hand in designing as my collection will be...

I know what you mean. That snakewood is going to be unreal once it has a finish on it.

    update #2

I couldn't help but share this. I'm pretty much speachless so I'll let the picture do the talking: P.S. JimBo, check out the avatar, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...lol. After seeing a security camera shot of my bald spot I decided to take matters into my own hands. :D

    Stinger B/J cues

I've got a friend who just bought a Stinger at the SBE and the tip on his is concave. Is this supposed to be that way? Thanks.

    cue

If so you should know that you have to be careful when you're playing with your pecker. You don't want to bang it against anything! If you're nice to your pecker, you're pecker will be nice to you. :D

    A little teaser...

I really like that Skip! I, like you, am not a big fan of the rounded inlays, but the cue is still a looker and those elipses are pretty sweet. My cue on the way will have regular old rectangular windows. The new Skip will have the same rings as that cue though. It'll have a bit of snakewood...

who makes the best 60" plus cue?

I'm in the same boat. I'm only 6'2" but I am generally on the butt sleeve. Most shots I'm just barely touching the wrap with the webbing of my hand and on the shortest/softest shots my hand is barely fully on the wrap. Mark Wilson suggested that I try a longer than standard cue when I had...

    A little teaser...

I hope you post pictures of it here. I really like your work and hope to be able to order a cue from you sometime in the future! Perhaps when I recouperate from the cues that I have on order right now...lol.

    A little teaser...

It is going to be a snakewood Fanelli! I'll post some pictures of it once it gets to the stage about where ironchef's was at when he posted pics.

    Cue design opinions

Yeah, mine will be pretty basic as well, considering some of the Fanelli cues that have been posted here recently. Pretty much just 4 point w/ butterfly splices between and 4 butterfly splices in the butt sleeve.I think it'll look pretty classy when it's finished.

    Cue design opinions

Paul just started on a snakewood cue for me. My cue is going to have an ebony forearm and black leather wrap though. Not to mention the point configuration being a bit different.

    get out from here II

Okay, I figure I'll embarass myself and post what I would "try" to do...lol. 1 - side pocket draw over for angle on 2 2 - corner pocket with top right to play above side pocket for 3 3 - corner pocket stun out for angle on the 4 4 - top left corner pocket with top to go 2 rails and between 5 &...

    Cue Design Preferences

Must have: Spliced points or no points, nicely figured examples of my favorite woods (cocobolo, ebony, amboyna, snakewood, bacote, rosewood, etc.) and a leather wrap or no wrap. I too like the classic style of cues but think you can get pretty artistic with a classic styling. Must not have...
