Who invented the billiards jump shot?

Yeah, my fave cue rack.... I know where an identical one of these cue racks is at and it's double width to hold 24 cues. But they'll never sell. Bummer.

    World Champions, Past and Present?

Hueston's contribution Treasure hunting, I found the son of a famous Indianapolis roomkeeper who was known to have a thorough billiard history scrapbook. When I went through it, 99% of it was local Indy balkline coverage from the local paper. But one local article concerned Thomas Hueston's new...

Ralph Greenleaf brand chalk, finally dated..

I don't make much effort with books.... The other book collectors are so advanced that I think it is better to let them build their collections into complete libraries, without me competing with them. I like books though, if I can get a bargain. Especially if they were written by a champion player.

Ralph Greenleaf brand chalk, finally dated..

Ralph Greenleaf chalk, the stuff that says the odd word "chakt" on it, and Ralph's repro signature on it, is so rare that when my friend Ed Palmer turned it up he was afraid that other collectors would believe he whipped it up himself. It is square blue chalk, with a blue and white label. Well...

Anyone have Jack Marsh's phone number? I bought an antique table from him and I need to make the ball return box the same finish that he put on the cabinet.

    Beware of repro exhibition posters...

reputation I have heard nothing but good things about the man. However, since he described his poster for sale as RARE, I felt the need to try to inform fellow az'ers that they should look closer at it. The poster is not rare. Nice but not rare. I am done with this thread. I hope you will...

    Beware of repro exhibition posters...

No, I didn't mean he was reproducing the repros.... I think he changed the ad. Even if he did not, he says these were printed in the 1980s. I think these were printed in the last few years. But here is the main problem..... ready?........ He says RARE in his title. RARE. This implies...

Trade offer to cuemakers for inlay work...

Diamond die tool..... I do have some old brazilian rosewood veneer back in oklahoma that I am going to make a triangle with. With it, I was going to put an ivory diamond on each side, like an antique pool table rail. I had bought a set of 3 rail diamond cutting dies off ebay..... I have only...

Trade offer to cuemakers for inlay work...

I don't know, I am not an inlay man... I have no idea about cnc. I know a table restorer who does inlays with pantograph, and a trophy shop who could do inlays with laser cutting. I have just started this project, so I don't know how I will get this done. Can't you make a jig to hold the...

Trade offer to cuemakers for inlay work...

Trading a hand-made triangle for inlays on mine The inlays would have to be done after the triangle is complete because the inlays would be M.O.P which is thicker than the veneer. I just want a simple inlay repeated six times, twice on each side of a racking triangle. They would be standard...

Trade offer to cuemakers for inlay work...

I hand-make exotic wood triangles. They are bentwood-veneer triangles made the way the very first triangle ball "frames" were made in 1880. I have a thread on here under bentwood triangle, so you can see a photo (the one in the photo was my first one and has extra panels on it like the...
