What cue makers are known for using a brass pin ( eg Troy Downey) , also any production line cues ??

I have one of his videos - in there was a pre-shot alignment rtn before actually getting down on the shot - he also does a drill lining up the balls in the middle of the table and shoots them in from the head string using a draw shot that draws the cue ball back to the end rail ...

I would say the equipment today is much faster than that was used yrs ago and that of course contributes to greater runs .

A few ys ago these 2 guys were playing nxt to me - well one of them had the cue ball near the object ball about a few inches away but way too far for a stretch and there were balls around - rather then use bridge he grabbed his cue at the shaft end and used the butt end as a mace and...

YEs -- Robt Byrnes in his book said the Hoppe system drove many aspiring players to Bowling.

BTW in the corner 5 or Diamond system as per Hoppe's book if the cue ball is located where the foot spot or head spot is , it is starting position 5.5 , the corners are position 5. The cue ball positions run 1.5,, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5. 5.5, 6. 7. 8.

If we are talking about the tiki shot they can come up all over the table - if you google "tiki billiard carom" you will most probably find somebody out there with some type of numerical computation for them.
