With inside cueing.... A moving ball contacting the pocket face will turn inward/eliminates the hangers a ton. It's how the pros pocket balls easier with 4'' pockets catching the rail slightly before pocketing. Makes the pocket larger.

That's one refereeing situation I would not enjoy. Bending over and racking for 4 tables, for 8 hrs or more. UGH! I think the players opponents should rack/template, save a TON of time.

I owned 7 GC I's and some II"s. Cornblasted em (not too deep) light hand sanding, took 15 minutes to do that. Wiped em clean five minutes, chose a stain, then 3 coats of clear. Came out perfect, got the wood to match the room lighting.

Fats dad was a Merchant Marine working the docks/east coast. Fats had a pool room in his early yrs. When he was a kid hangin out with dad at the docs probably 8 yrs old, when the lunch bell rang Rudolph was usually the first in line.

I miss typed in thread #10, I was told they were poplar.... Kinda makes sense, the wood was so light, had my choice of how dark to go to match the room, I did get it tho too light. :).

This light-frame.... is it stained with a clear coat just like your wood aprons? I know my GCI apron (pic) layered wood was gorgeous. Likely not poplar. With a fine grit, all aprons and underframe took 45 minutes to completely strip, a 200 or 180 grit then stain/clear coat.

I don't think this was mentioned. On a 40x80 full size 7' bar table, I Never need a rake.
