Another way to test, is if you have say, a delta 13 rack that is a perfect triangle, put the cue ball in the rack with 14 other balls. Hold the balls in tight and move the rack, if any of the balls are moving they are undersized.

I tried it, I could never tell when I had enough chalk on the tip... So, instead, I no longer use any chalk and don't allow it to be used on my home table. So, no chalk, no blueing :)

We have about 2 or 3 dozen solid state drives at work. Unless you buy the "enterprise" level ones, they are just as unreliable as normal drives. The "enterprise" class ones tend to cost 4-5x the cost of the consumer ones. So, you can get an 80G enterprise level SSD for like $1.5k, or, a 1TB...

I love Blue Diamond chalk! Have you looked at sending your cue to Gulyassy and have "Shaft Freeze" put on it? It supposedly keeps your shaft from ever getting "blueing" from chalk on it. Personally, I don't mind the blue color. It kinda gives me the "warm and fuzzys" that I really do get my...
