    2nd Cue from Coos Cues

I did not ask about a CF extension, and I honestly don't know how John would respond to such a request. I suspect he'd be reluctant, since he is so passionate about the exotic woods. But if you can find an 'on-the-market' extension which employs the same threads, it should work on one of John's...

    2nd Cue from Coos Cues

https://rumble.com/v1l4hhh-birds-eye-bocote-and-pheasantwood.html Cue was just shipped, so I don't have it yet. But John was kind enough to put a video together for me before he packaged it for shipment. Birdseye Bocote forearm and butt with Pheasant wood handle. Full core of Purple heart, so...

    Some days...

You have a plan. You enjoy having those cues (and the firearms you kept). Your plan is to enjoy life. Those cues and firearms are part of that enjoyment. When that no longer is true, you'll sell them.

    Some days...

As a Winchester and Colt collector, I could substitute 'Winchester Rifle' or 'Colt pistol' in your reply and be spot on. I've no interest in selling guns or cues, but will someday need to think about what to leave behind. Relics or cash?

My new Cue Arrived from Coos Cues

John has developed an elaborate spreadsheet whereby he establishes the density of each wood type and then can estimate very closely what the final cue weight will be with different woods for forearm, butt and core. As you point out, the walnut has a relatively low density. In this case, that was...

My new Cue Arrived from Coos Cues

It is much nicer than the photos. It plays very well, which is not a surprise. Check John's site out, and his pricing. I don't think many can touch his quality and price point, maybe none.

My new Cue Arrived from Coos Cues

The first of two cues John is building for me finally arrived. This one has a burled walnut handle with forearm and butt of Cocobolo. The core is a Lignum Vitae, so it is about 20 ounces. I asked John to make matching joint protectors for both shafts and the butt. These photos do not do...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

I had a neighbor years ago confront me about my liberal use of weed killers in my lawn. I told them that as far as I could learn, the only potential harm was that if his wife was pregnant and somehow exposed to my lawn chemicals, their child could be born naked. He never spoke to me again.

Would you go two tables or not??

Exactly what I would say. Room space is the one commodity which you can't add later.

    Coos Cues Joint and threads?

Honestly, don't want to bug him. He's building a cue for me and has said that he only does it as a 'hobby' and didn't want 'needy' customers to ruin it. I don't want to be one of those 'needy customers'. Also wanted to learn what other Coos customers thought of the pins and joints.

    Coos Cues Joint and threads?

John Chaplin of Coos Cues tells me that he has been banned from this site, which is too bad, seems like a very nice guy. Can anyone here tell me what thread size he uses? I saw a photo of one of his brass pins, but no description of size, etc. Thanks!

    Funny pic/gif thread...

In My problem with roundabouts is drivers who treat them as red lights. If everyone entered them as 'skid pads' I'd be good with them. Simple concept, certainly. But too many drivers have minds even too simple to grasp the simple concept. Timid drivers are the problem.

I don't see 'gang' or 'drug' related broken out separately in these stats. Question remains.
