Very cool! I've seen some round or hex/octa/round wood cases. I wondered why nobody made one like this. Laminated wood tubes are available round, not oval. I've looked. What are you doing with the bottom? Looking forward to more pics!

The stepped and threaded core with threaded sleeve components was created by Dan Janes. It has been the standard at Joss for many years. It is, IMHO, the best construction technique.

No worries. I am glad to see the gallery active. I have posted several of mine again. That one of yours certainly merits another look. Gotta dig nice wood, and when done right, it can't be ignored. That cue has just the right amount of subtle accent with those rings, it lets the wood speak.
