    Racking Templates

The original racking template is the Rack-M-Rite tapping system. It is reusable, works for all pool games - including 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, straight pool and rotation - and requires no labels. It was copied and has been used in Europe for years, and was used in the 2008 World Ten Ball...

    12 ball

It's 9 ball with 3 more balls. Rack for ten ball and add two balls on the back with a space open in between. With a perfect rack you should make A LOT of balls on the break, since the two corner balls are dead into the bottom corners.

    fake money!

Here is an op-ed in the New York Times by Jonathan Lipow. He is an associate professor of economics at the Defense Resource Management Institute at the Naval Postgraduate School and he is calling for a cashless world to fight terrorism and drugs and crime. So much for posting the cash...

    fake money!

Interest rates went up to 20% at that time to strengthen the dollar against gold. Today the government cannot raise interest rates significantly because our government debt is financed short term and there is far too much of it.

    fake money!

Since the Federal Reserve was created in 1913 the dollar has lost 96% of its purchasing power. Gold was about 20 dollars an ounce in 1913 and now it is over 1400 dollars. The plan of international bankers is to create an international currency to replace the dollar...

    Racks?

A rack tapped with a template has the smallest footprint (zero), gives the best rack, is the quietest and the fastest.

    Awesome shot. Thanks for posting.

    Quantifing runs

I don't know that that formula will hold up for small pockets. With 4" pockets how deep would the shelf be on a Diamond Pro? My table without the deep shelf with 4" openings and nearly parallel facings is far more difficult to play on than a standard Diamond Pro, but will probably rate easier...

Pausing at the cue ball vs pausing on the back stroke

Hi Randy! Hope you are doing well, but I have to disagree, lol. Efren's warmups end and he pauses. Then, he takes one more pre-shot stroke and then pulls back and shoots without any pause between the two that I can see. It is my opinion that this style is what gives him better stroke timing...

    Racking without a Rack?

They are using the European Billiard Federation's version of the American invented and patented Rack-M-Rite Racking Template. The cloth is tapped using the template, which makes slight indentions in the cloth that are closer together than the balls can sit, causing them to lean into each other...

Pausing at the cue ball vs pausing on the back stroke

See if you can find a pause, either before or after the back stroke in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JM3FLwCrCk

Romine's High Pockets, The Polish Prince

George played a little on the Camel tour. I think he took 3rd place in the Camel World 8 Ball one year. Great player.

Question: When were the current 10 Ball rules (WPA) written to be call shot?

    (1) A quarterback isn't forced to call his receiver, a pitcher isn't forced to call his location, Robert Horry can bank in a 3 pointer, a tennis player can win on a net ball or a mis-hit, etc. (2) Safety play is fine, but I believe you should always risk not getting back to the table when you...

Question: When were the current 10 Ball rules (WPA) written to be call shot?

When I was growing up playing pool, 9 ball was 2 foul ball in hand - we called it roll out rules. You could roll out at any time if you weren't already on 1 foul. People glorify those rules now but we never played them we just played snooker instead. Texas Express was a vast improvement...

Question: When were the current 10 Ball rules (WPA) written to be call shot?

The Camel Pro Billiards Series played 9 ball and ten ball in the late 90s with $75,000 added in their biggest events. Ten ball was their logo and played in their bigger events and they never played call shot. Call shot is a bad idea for any rotation game. Ten ball is much different from 9...

    The Fastest and Bestest

So that's about 16 and 1/2 racks at 3 minutes a rack on the Marop Metro. Thanks.

    Pool Player.......Health Question

In my opinion, back problems mainly come from dehydration and muscle weakness. Your vertebrae only receive fluid when movement pumps it into the disks. Anyone considering surgery (I'm not saying it might not be necessary for some) should first eliminate all causes of dehydration - caffeine...

    The Fastest and Bestest

So that would be slightly under 3 and 1/2 minutes per rack... for 526 balls or about 37 and 1/2 racks, on an 8 foot table (which should go a little quicker than a 9 footer I would think...). Thanks.

Turning Stone no longer a ranking event.

If the points ranking is controlled by the players organization and actually has value there is no need to boycott the tournaments. They should limit themselves to withholding points and allow the players to play that want to play, imo. The trouble is that the value of the points standings is...
