The Fastest and Bestest

I dont know if it would be that high is a person were to be playing for speed as well as a high run. Typically faster means a little sloppier. one miss and the run is over. I would venture a guess though as to Willie Mosconi's run of "526 balls in 2 hours 10 mins" would be up there for high run + Speed.

IIRC, Lou Butera ran 150 and out in about 20 minutes.

John Schmidt's 154 on a Diamond Pro (2009 DCC) was absolutely incredible - it took about 45 minutes.

I don't know about 14.1, but I have seen Luc Salvas break and run a rack of 9 ball in 30-35 seconds several times. Luc is fast and unbelievably accurate and consistent at that speed.

All of Danny Barouty's runs are incredibly fast. I would guess his runs in the 200 range take about 50 minutes on average.

Seriously you should see the e-mails he sends to his league players about slow play - it's brutal...he's very old school:) I missed a key shot in a playoff match once - his advice "you can't miss that shot"!

So that would be slightly under 3 and 1/2 minutes per rack... for 526 balls or about 37 and 1/2 racks, on an 8 foot table (which should go a little quicker than a 9 footer I would think...). Thanks.
