Low robustness. It would be nice if he could play regularly at Predator and WNT events outside the Middle East. I'd like to see how he performed with all the travel and playing against the best in the world regularly.

QATAR WORLD CUP 10 BALL, OCT. 28 to NOV. 2, 2025

I watched Ali's first two matches. I am not sure he is as good as his Fargo suggests, but he does like one of the best players in the world. Surprisingly I have not seen him suffer much from nerves, either at the WPC or in Qatar.

Good points. Reasonable perspective. I’m just not convinced Lukas wouldn’t get overwhelmed by the moment. Billy has beaten a lot of very good players this year. Lukas doesn’t have many big wins that I can recall. I simply think Billy gives the US a better chance to win.

I’ve watched a lot of Lukas this year. He’s made big progress, but he’s not even where Shane Woolford was two years ago. I think Lukas needs another year of progress to be considered for the Mosconi. Thorpe is a better player now. He’s arguably playing his best pool ever. The key is Gorst and...

Shaw picked Alcaide for the second wildcard pick on the Mosconi. Team Europe needed another vet with two rookies set to debut. Alcaide was the best choice. FSR is too jittery. David is calm and steady. Great performance in the Philippines.

Watched the semis and finals on delay. Shaw should have buried Areseni well before the missed nine ball. A handful of mistakes and missed shots in the second part of the match. Arseni really had no chance against Alcaide. The worst kind of opponent for him to face given David‘s tactical acumen...

The way Jeremy Jones and Karl Boyes are talking, SVB and Filler on in the Mosconi. And Mike Panozzo now thinks those two will be playing after saying for a month that they wouldn’t be allowed. Panozzo also think Thorpe and Alcaide will be the final picks for Team USA and EUROPE.

He’s always done this. Don’t think he is doing it on purpose, but other opponents have been bothered by it too.

Capito showing nerves. Down 4-1 to Alcaide even though he had three ball in hands.

Ignacio seems like a pleasant fellow, but he rubs fans and players the wrong way. He knew he was breaking soft but did it anyway. Really starting to dislike him. *** What I learned this week is that for all their talent, most Filipino players lack high-level tactical acumen. Biado is a master...

Come now. JJ can't make Shaw a better or worse player. The biggest problem with Shaw imo is he gets frustrated too easily when he falls behind and makes mistakes. He then plays irresponsibly, with a devil may care attitude. He starts firing the ball to try to make things happen. It actually...

Arseni is a great shop maker, but tactical decisions are sometimes wanting. He needs to learn to channel his aggressiveness.

The biggest names to attend who did not play in the Reyes are Alcaide Grabe Mario He Pijus Labutis Oi Souto Capito The question is, who else would have attended if Qatar wasn't taking close so close to the Manilla event. The Qatar event was announced much earlier and has one the biggest top...

I would be shocked, shocked if this event doesn't return. It's been electric. The crowds at times seem to have swelled up to 500. Or even more. Does the format need a change? Dunno. Maybe it's a good format for this event in that particular mall. Doesn't seem like it could hold a full...

Well, Matchroom has a decision to make. Joshua Filler says he has earned automatic qualification to the Mosconi Cup. Evidently he's been following his competition at the Reyes. He cheekily posted about it on his FB page. Too funny. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1KWxqSn3Ku/ SVB has qualified...

Roda in top form can beat anyone. I think he is the third best player overall in the Philippines. The end of the Gorst-Busty match was incredible. Loudest I've ever heard a pool crowd. Where were all these people for the Reyes? Seems WNT should sell tickets for lush VP seats at the Reyes and...

I have to think playing on the Reyes did Manas a world of good. Safeties have been a weak spot, but he came thru with some big ones vs. Carlo. Not anything like the Final 16 I was expecting. Shaw, Alcaide and Pijus - three of the four Euros left - have a good shot at winning this. Busty had...
