Planning My Gold Crown VII Purchase

I just don't get it, wouldn't you think that cushion height is one of the foundations of a proper cushion replacement job?? That's like hiring a guy to shovel snow off of your driveway and when he claims he is finished half of the driveway is still snow covered.

    Constant Tip Shaping is annoying!

I use a medium tip, Tiger Everest, it was about a year and a half old when I had it swapped for a new one recently, I shaped it maybe 3 or 4 times over its life and I break with it too.

    One-piece Cues (circa 2025)

Same here. one place I played at had a 1 piece cue I really liked, I would use it occasionally in place of my regular cue. Only problem with it was that it was Fugly, it looked like an ink pen exploded on the tip end of the cue for about 8 inches.

Who cares if you are getting good? Why you do, of course.

I would not rate a "shark hustler" as a better player than a top level pro, he would just be better at gambling. If they are playing even up races to 9 I'm taking the top level pro every time.

For those of You that don't know... The BreakRAK is getting some attention...

This is kind of surprising, even players well into FR600's I have seen their cue ball flying around the table or going straight into the side pocket on 8 ball breaks. I have always wondered why they don't control the cue ball more. I have a Break-Rak and love it, sometimes I notice my cue ball...

    Fallen in love…

One thing is certain, those cushions extending into the pocket really makes for an unsightly look.:sick::) I don't know what the pocket angles are supposed to be on a pocket that narrow but it looks like a very tough playing pocket the way the throat narrows, seems like it would be...

Another Bad Draw-Miscue-Scoop Foul Call in a Major Pro Pool Tournament

The WPA states that a scoop shot is not a miscue, nothing left to debate.

Calcutta Cease & Desist Order in Washington State

Wow!!!! That's a bunch of dickin around, sounds like they need to start the calcutta the day before. Its strange way tondo it because the arrangement is between the player and the calcutta buyer, nothing to do with the guy running the calcutta.

Buddy on how he'd stack up with todays players. :-)

I dont know so much about pool but the racers of today would smoke the racers of yesterday. 40 years ago racers didnt usually get to the big show until they were mid to late 20's because they didnt start racing until they were of driving age or close to it. Todays racers start when they are 5...
