The predator definitely deflects less IMO but to be honest, there both pretty awful shafts but if I was forced by gun, I would take the predator. If you do an inside English test the OB 1+ deflects alot and the 3143 deflects more than the 3142 100%

That looks like the stuff, absolutely fantastic playability. I find a medium hard to a hard tip compliments that material well, being it's a softer than other types of phenolic. You'll love it.

I wouldn't say brown but tan , yellow for sure. Here in Canada , it's not an easy material to acquire . Alot of snooker players really like it for joint material as well.

Not sure what kind of LBM your using, but the Melamine I use is heavier than Juma. I've seen both weighed in front of me and the Melamine was clearly heavier. I know there are different types.

It really depends on what tip you use and taper of the shaft. Juma is lighter so for deflecting purposes would be lower. I've had both and like them both. With the Juma I prefer a harder tip and the opposite with the LBM.

I am a big Predator fan and the Revo shaft might be the worst LD shaft I've ever hit with. I thought the Meucci black dot was POS, until I hit with the Revo. Damn shame Predator made this shaft but kudos to great marketing.

LD shafts only come into play using inside english, besides that none. Now a good piece of maple with a light ferrule will play LD as well.

Any competent cuemakers can make a uniloc shaft fit a bullet joint in literally 5 min. It's very easy.
