    Old (defunct) NYC pool hall?

These are old pictures of Park Row, across from City Hall in New York City. Prior to 1980. Anyone knows the name of the pool hall? It's not City Hall pool hall, that was late 80's (Color of Money boom) and across the street from Pace University.

    USA-BCA-CSI The Same?

It's my understanding that ACS was formed/splintered because not everyone agreed with the sale of the league.

Post Cataract surgery and missing balls, 18 months later

Requiring reading glasses is not related to cataracts. As we get older the lens in our eye isn't as flexible, and the range of focusing narrows. When we're young, our eyes have no problems focusing far and near (reading small print). For most of us, this starts after 40. For Cataract surgery...

Post Cataract surgery and missing balls, 18 months later

Good luck on your surgery, and sorry to hear about Glaucoma. They call it silent theft, because it slowly damages the eye causing reparable harm before there is any noticeable vision loss.

Post Cataract surgery and missing balls, 18 months later

Funny, I now have more sunglasses than before. I usually don't leave the house without sunglasses. Any thing short rail is makeable for me as everything is in focus. I can bank short rail just as well as before. Anything past that distance, especially missing hangers.

Post Cataract surgery and missing balls, 18 months later

18 months ago I had Cataract surgery in one eye. The doctor corrected to -2.0 (monovision). So, first time in years I can read and type on my laptop without reading glasses. My left eye didn't have cataract, I would have to pay out of pocket. I've been wearing a contact lens for distance...

Any difference in the latest Centennial balls besides packaging?

They say Parmesan and Proscuitto were accidentally discovered when someone left behind their yogurt and ham lunch in a cave. Forgot about it and came back months later thinking it's spoiled, but behold a miracle. :) *tin foil hat conspiracy theory* Perhaps Duramith Technology was discovered in...

Any difference in the latest Centennial balls besides packaging?

That's a side benefit. Primary is longer service life. Ideal for poolhalls, and maybe bars (lack of cleaning and horrid conditions).

Any difference in the latest Centennial balls besides packaging?

Purpose of Duramith technology is to produce a harder durable finish. Think of it in the same manner as heat treatment for 440 knife steel. You can buy a knife with 440, and a buck 110 will retain the edge longer because of Paul Bos heat treatment. The Simonis rep called Duramith 4th...

Any difference in the latest Centennial balls besides packaging?

This is consistent what I was told by a Simonis rep. Centennials were made under contract for Brunswick by Saluc using the same resin as SAP (Super Aramith Pro) which was their premium ball at the time. Duramith technology is hardening, it's not a different resin recipe that came out after the...

advice on Fargorate going down after +59 effective rating

Next is look at the changes in Fargo rating of his opponents. New players start with 500 or 525 (as that is the median) and then move up or down from there. That can drag or push a Fargo, even if he has not played recently.

Finding local cue repair service providers

This is the answer. In the past, every pool hall would have someone who would maintain the house cues (repairman).
