    Filler beats Shane 9-0

I watched the stream and it was about as good a set as you could shoot. 30 minutes total. Filler was in dead stroke and his break was perfect. Made the wing ball and shape on the one in the top corner every time. It was pretty amazing. His 7-pack on the TV table was impressive. -td

    First Problem With Pirate Shipping

Yeah. Sucks. But PirateShip isn't the issue. They just pass along whatever the carrier decides to do. I've had something like this happen for international shipments. It sucks to get a "SURPRISE! You owe us money" email. [Well, actually, "we took some more money!"] -td

    832

I think what you said is precisely the point of a high run challenge: it removes the person in the other chair so the shooter can go 100% offense. It is not a tournament by design. Comparing it to a tournament, while somewhat interesting, is apples/oranges. Either way, Jason is a beast and...

iPhone bracket to attach to table light

What light were you targeting? I think you could 3D print a bracket to use a standard iphone mount. Shouldn't be too difficult but might not be universal for all tables.

    TAOM V10 BLUE

I have been using different Taom chalks for a few years. Pyro, V10 green and now V10 blue. I got V10 blue right at 2 months ago. My conclusion is that V10 blue is not my favorite chalk by Taom. I also agree that it appears to miscue more than other Taom chalks. I'm actually a little...

Pool's latest growth in popularity is due to...?

Matchroom and WNT are probably the biggest reasons. -td [My two cents. Proabably worth less.]

Aramith 100-Year Anniversary set - now an AAR thread

Mine were pristine. No spots. You are getting a new set, so I wouldn't worry about a defective set. What number set were they? -td

Aramith Limited Edition 100’s - Use Them or Save Them?

Comparing top of the line ball sets to the bottom of the barrel isn't really an accurate comparison. You could that type of analysis with anything and make the premium product sound suspect. Pool, golf, tools, watches, cars, whatever. A better comparison would be top-tier vs top-tier...

Aramith Limited Edition 100’s - Use Them or Save Them?

IMO, the market for $700+ pool balls is very limited. You could indeed make a small profit, but it might be a while. I think they play well, but really not much better than any other set. So, I guess I see not using them. Meh, just use them. You have them already! -td

2024 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

I didn't interpret your question as contentious. It's actually a good question. The rules permit pattern racking, and this pattern is very good for a ghost challenge. I think I got it from Corey or one of the other pros that pattern rack. I find that it can improve run out percentage...

Mighty x drill leaving mark on cloth

I'm not sure it's a burn mark. What chalk are you using? Are you sure you can't clean it off? I strongly suspect the "lines" you are seeing are residual chalk lines. Maybe use a lightly damp cloth and try to wipe the table down? The are a couple reasons I'm suggesting it's not a burn mark...

2024 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

I guess the end of the year is a good time to update my 9-ball ghost attempt. Normal [not pro]. 10-0. Was 9-0 and I decided to give it one more. Video is below. 4X speed also below for those that don't want to stare at a 28 minute video. 9' Diamond. Pro cut pockets. Original cloth -...

    Projector training system

They are both good but you won't use it as much as you think. You could save the extra money if that's a key consideration. Also, PPB integrates with Poolbilliards.co from your phone so you can do drills just by browsing the web. It's a nice feature and one that I use the most. -td

    Projector training system

I understand that one of the PBB folks left and started the ICA with PBB tech. That said, I wasn't involved and just heard it second hand. I'm sure there's more to the story and folks can probably call both PBB and ICA to find out if they are interested in getting details. -td

    Projector training system

PPB is the way to go. Integrates with Poolbilliards.co for drills. Lots of content. The system isn't the expensive part, it's the projector. You want a bright pool table which means you need a brighter projector. That adds some $. FWIW, I recall that there was some backstory to the ICA...
