I have never been more excited when I came across a bar in Windsor that had an "L" shaped table. Grabbed a cue, added some chalk but I couldn't find any balls. Pub owner said they table was just for show and they didn't have any pool balls in the place. What a dissapointment.

I very rarely use any tools on my tip but I still only seem to get 3 or 4 months out of it until it becomes worn down. I usually use a soft tip so maybe this is the problem? Gonna have to try something different next time I guess.

Thats sad to hear. When I was there they did have a few leaks but it was a great pool hall. Tons of tables and some really good players.

I own virtual pool for the xbox and for the PC. It is probably the best pool game I have played though there isn't really a huge selection. Tons of different games in it and the shot mechanics seem to be pretty close to where they should be.

I have a feeling that the problem is coming from the "inside shield" that Scruffy was talking about. If the shield is too tight what can I do to fix it short of taking the pockets apart. Not sure I want to start dismantaling my table.

I will check the pockets for differences tonight. As for the comment about ball speed, the pocket will spit balls out even if they are shot at table speed. There is something else affecting the balls.

The balls do not come out because of the speed of the shot. It is the pockets and I think it is because they are so stiff. I will post this in the mechanics section to try and find some answers.
