Cue Design - Who Was First?

I'm not sure if he learned under Sailor or not. You still see a lot of Sailor cues in this area simply because I'm right next to where they were made.

Burton Spain's storage locker found! Amazing cues!

I knew it was bullsh*t because there wouldn't have been a locker because Joel Hercek bought his shop and I doubt Burton would've held something back from Joel.

Brand new Bob Runde 2016 R-12

A few of you that know me, know the story of my love affair with cues. For the rest of you, I purchased my first custom cue in 1985 from Bob Runde at Schon. I ordered an R-12. Little did I know in '85, that Mr. Runde and I would be teammates in 2006, and win the KPBL (Kenosha Pocket Billiard...

    Definitive Case Review -JB cases

I wasn't a fan of the case wars of a few years back. I applaud John's passion for cue protection, but I thought he over stepped his bounds when he started offering replacement interiors for another case makers cases. I still think that's wrong. That being said, I found myself ordering a 2x4...

Question about fairly new cue makers.

I've been buying custom cues since 1982, and bought my first Runde-era Schon (R-12), in 1985. I have owned well over 300 cues since then. The "hit" or playability is always subjective, but I have a "Top 5" list of favorite cue makers. I decided I wanted to learn how to build cues, so I started...

Bob Runde Cue For Sale-New "2015"

If I'm not mistaken, you're supposed to chalk the smaller of the two ends of the cue, and let the bigger end with the rubber thingy rest on the ground when not using it. Maybe that's part of your problem! Great looking Runde!

    ***WTB Westinghouse Yellow Micarta***

As the title says, I'm looking to buy some of the old Westinghouse Micarta for a special project I have in the works. One of my former teammates and world reknown cuemaker has agreed to make me (basically) somewhat of a copy of a cue I ordered from him back in 1985, and due to my ex-wife...
