What is the best win you ever had in a pool match up?

Yes that was him. Thanks for posting this. He was a nice guy! He played pretty good for a guy his age too! I couldn't believe he could see the balls as well as he did. I hope I can do that when I get into my 90's!

USPPA Reno players, did they get paid?

Just my humble opinion, but what I've heard my own attorneys say on numerous occasions is, most attorneys don't like to go to court in a civil action because a trial is a liquid process, i.e., anything can happen. I'm sure the Peppermill would feel that way as well. If one could just show a...

Congrats to Alex Pagulayan for 10 ball win @ Hardtimes !

The only time I saw Efren get even a little miffed was when he was playing a ring game with Schmidt and he felt that John was deliberately playing safeties. Other than that, I've never seen Efren get anything more than just self-deprecating when he'd miss a shot.

What is the best win you ever had in a pool match up?

I played in a tournament in SF, CA many years ago at the place on 8th and Brannan (forgot the name - it closed). I played a guy that was in his 90's and he played pretty good. He carried a little fold-up stool with him and he played with a snooker cue. He told me he used to be a snooker...

    Switching back to normal shafts

I got a Predator shaft for my Pechauer and used it for about 2 years. I switched back to the Pechauer shaft and never looked back. I would rather improve my stroke than use a crutch. JMHO.

USPPA Reno players, did they get paid?

Well I like the idea of going after the Peppermill because that's the only way Jeff is going to get any money. I know Tony and I'm sure if he could pay, he would. I seriously doubt he has any money to give. Last I heard he was living out of a small trailer in a parking lot somewhere. The guy...

USPPA Reno players, did they get paid?

I don't know how the law works where you're at Jam but in CA, it is one thing to get a judgment and quite another to enforce a collection. Enforcement capabilities are not available to your average person and the court doesn't do anything more than render a judgment.

Who, is your pool playing hero, and why?

Reyes because of his creativity, skills and demeanor. When he misses a shot, which is rare, he will laugh at himself. I like that and think that pool needs more of that.

    Lucasi vs. Pechauer

I have a Pechauer and a Jacoby. I like both but I always play with the Pechauer. Something about the hit just appeals to me. The Jacoby has a soft hit and I tend to lose the feel. I would recommend the Pechauer. A custom cue would be cool but you really have to do your research before you...

TAR: New Chris Bartram Interview plus a freebie for the night owls....

And they said they were sorry and this would not happen again. How can they say that? We're talking about pool players. They're never going to do what you expect them to do in a money match. That's one of the things that makes it exciting. I remember running over to a pool hall in Reno...

    Asian Pool players

I remember when Paul Brienza came to Great America in Sacramento and talked about the pros and cons of going with ESPN. That was a long time ago. Now in retrospect, I'm thinking it was a bad choice to go with ESPN. Oh well.

    How good was Mark Tadd?

I didn't know Mark Tadd but I did see a video on youtube of him playing another top player (Davenport I think). He seemed to be very impatient when the other guy was shooting. Jay was one of the commentators and he was the TD as well. He said that Mark had a bad habit of walking around and...

    Here is a great shot

I've watched that whole match twice now and it is awesome. Irving Crane was not a young man back then. He was a pretty good player late in his life too.

    Does this action constitute unsportsmanship?

In my opinion, it should be, at the very least, a loss of game. Technically, I believe it is just ball in hand. This should be reviewed and changed to reflect what should really happen as mentioned above.

    Fellow Az'er, Hemicudas passes away.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I haven't been on this site for several years. I remember Hemi with much fondness. He always had good things to say and he seemed to know everyone. He will be missed by me.
