I'm playing Efren Reyes race to 8 one pocket tomorrow even up!

Congratulations !! I would do the same thing if Mr. Reyes ever comes to Texas. He could beat me 11-5, however there is much more honor in being able to say you played him straight up.

How about a For Sale section for gold members only?

If you are too big of a NIT to pay the pennies it cost to be a gold member, then you are too big of a NIT to sell on the site. No one will miss the business of a guy with 9 I-traders in 12 years of being on AZB. Joey...great idea.

    Which wrap?

White linen with single brown spec would be my other choice as well, and to answer your question, I do not believe the ring gets "lost", rather I think it gets amplified as you have brown between the ring and the wrap.

    Which wrap?

I would look for a walnut wrap like on this cue (which was originally made for me) http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=417991&highlight=sowder I believe it was blue mountain which may now be very hard to find. Viking cues has one that is identical if they will sell you some. The...

Some thoughts on playing one pocket (by a one pocket beginner)

Both authors are excellent reference points. For the money the Tom Wirth book is a much better value as well as being spiral bound so you can open it up on the table and set up the shots he is talking about to work on.

    Cue nearly completed

This cue started out as a John Davis blank that I purchased from Martin (Jazznpool here on AZB) mid June of 2015. Then I supplied the cue maker with a round piece of ivory for the rambow ring. He used the very last of his old brown phenolic stock on this cue. This cue maker was also given...
