Look real close at the tiny "lines" where the butt cap seats to the butt sleeve.

Butt cap looks like a piece of phenolic cut by a not so sharp blade at an improper speed.

As is or white linen are both good. It all depends if you want the black or the white in the cue to be the dominate visual.
