Until a year ago excellent ones changed hands for $900 - $1,000. Lately the prices have risen slightly to more normal level.

When my Gold Crown was professionally installed this past spring, the holes were filled with beeswax.

Both the Second and Third Editions of the Blue Book contain information on Black Hawk Cues. It states they started in 1994 and at one point were making as many as 100 cues a year.

Just for the record, I have handled a number of non-catalog Palmers that have 5/16-14 pins.
