I hate to hear this news, I loved trading cues with Joe and had several fun dinners with him. When I lived in Oklahoma City in the 1990s I would sometimes meet Joe at the outlet mall halfway between OKC and Ft. Worth to make a cue deal. One time the local cops came flying over with their lights...

I have had at least a dozen of both and I feel the same way. Tascarella over Scruggs for me. I also agree that the steel capped ivory joint on a Black Boar is a special feeling cue as well.

For your consideration is a EDC cue by Jules Patterson, in what I would call extremely good played condition. There is one blemish on the bottom of the butt plate that does not protrude the finish, this is the only visible mark on the butt. There are a few minor dings in the butt and one in one...

Thanks Ken, I always wanted one of the suede ones. I now have one with cow on the back, and all black one, and a suede one.

The back of the old cases would sometimes come loose if not cared for properly and Jack put that band on to try and protect the case abusers from theirselves is my understanding.
