Why Dieckman Does Not Use IVORY

There is nothing wrong with proper management and harvesting of the elephant population. No different than harvesting corn or soybeans or cattle. Killing ALL the rosewood trees or the last elephant is something else.

    Lasik surgery

The old operation was called Radial Keratotomy and was a completely different operation. Slits are cut in the cornea to change its shape. A friend of mine had RK done in the ninetys and they made a mess of his eyes. Lasik surgery has the top of the cornea pealed back and the laser flattens the...

A Rare find (Sailor Cue & Case)

I had the opportunity to shoot with a Sailor cue 2 or 3 years ago and was impressed. It felt very natural and easy to shoot with. I have wanted one ever since. Jim, sounds like you have enough Sailors already... you should let me have this one ;)

    Pool in 1918

Cool pic thanks for posting I dont know if this is true because I have never had the opportunity to try it but I was told the wedge cut in the butt of old cues was used as a one handed bridge. The cue was laid on the table then rocked up onto the wedge. Then the shooter could slide the...

Has anyone spoken to Blud lately?

I need parts for a ball cleaner and have been trying to reach him unsuccessfully over the past 3 weeks. Then I thought he could be at the DCC and he might just be busy and behind getting back to people. How quickly should I expect to hear back from him? Thanks, Matt

    Runde schon

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. You always seem to be around when old Schons come up. I have been curious to see some of your cues for a long time. R-11's and R-15's surface very rarely. It is a treat to see them. R-12's seem to have been much more popular and consequently are more plentiful...

I love old Schon's too Thanks for sharing everyone. I enjoy seeing what's out there. Here is my collection. I just got the bottom one with green veneers back from Schon. It had some cracked ebony in the butt and it turned out perfect. They did a wonderful job ahead of schedule. :)...

    Jumping vs slate

Thanks for all the input. In the 5 years I have played on league I have seen cloth ripped twice and it was due to hot heads literally harpooning the table after missing shots. I have never seen cloth damaged from jump or masse shots. For the most part everyone takes care of the...
