    10 footers

My understanding is that Mark Gregory straightened out the rails on that Gold Crown and it plays perfect now. Mr. Gregory posts on the forum under the name perfectpocketz. If you search around there are pics of his work and the pics do better justice than anything I could say. This is a...

    10 footers

I watched as much as the stream would allow. After reading you post in another thread about the table used in that match I did some research. Tate has part of his palmercollector site dedicated to Brunswick and the 1952 catalogue lists the Centennial being avaliable in 10ft pocket but not the...

    10 footers

My take on things is that for a long time Earl had been saying no one could beat him on a 10ft table. A few years back Shane and Earl matched up in Ohio on a converted 10ft snooker table. That match created quite a buzz. (there was also much talk about the quality of that conversion, or lack...

    Strickland vs VanBoening

Just checked their website and yeah it looks amazing. Evidently Strickland/Appleton vs Archer/Hatch played scotch doubles 10ball race to 21 on April 2nd. Anyone know how that ended up?

My Slate Broke. Can It Be Repaired?

It can be supreglued back together. I've done it in the past. After the repair I picked up the whole slate by the broken corner. Results will depend on how accurately you get the two pieces aligned. Take your time and get it right. Once its glued there is no going back.

    Leather install and Refinish

I'm gonna second this. A few years back I sent them an R-Series and it turned out PERFECT. Leather wrap and all. Cant say enough good about the experience. Timely, reasonable price. Just a glowing review.

    Anniversary Rebuild - Need Suggestions

It looks like you have an earlier Anniversary with solid walnut covered rails. I don't consider it a veneer, its thicker. Looks like your rails need more of a repair than a refinish. Mark Gregory does amazing work and specializes in Anniversary/Centennial Brunswicks. He'll get your rails into...

When an employee 'hooks you up' on table time, do you tip them extra?

She is deffinately stealing and if your friends enjoy the pool hall they might want to make sure the hall turns a profit and stays in business.

Should the TAR table stay as is or go to standard pockets? You choose.

I like the idea of going back to standard Diamond pockest for only one reason. The biggest packages in settings like this in my opinion are records. Every so often A-Z rehashes the Strickland/Million dollar challange. Imagine if TAR had recorded it... Longer races like these TAR mathces are...

Diamond Pro-am: Tourn. used vs. New

I purchased a tournament used ProAm in summer 2006. The cloth had slight wear and there were a couple of small scratches in the Diamondwood from rubbing against something in transportation. When I first bought the table the scratches really bothered me. Any more I had forgotten about them...

Should pros be allowed to sell products on the main forum?

Traditionally the forum seems to run off professional players. I hope this trend does not continue.

    Rules, Rules, Rules......

I know what you are saying. One of the BCA rule committee members needs to give us the final word on this. Forget what his user name is or I would PM him. Personally I have no problem with the rule being - Don't touch the cue ball if you do not have ball in hand.
