Pool is not dead - Facebook Group disappeared?

I get the page that tells about the group and lets me click "Join Group" if I want to join it, and that would be showing the group page if I was already a member. My best guess is they have blocked your access to the group.

Pool is not dead - Facebook Group disappeared?

A two second google search of "facebook pool is not dead" brings it up as the first result. https://www.facebook.com/groups/PoolisNotDead/

    Fair Advertising ?

You need to do an equally zoomed in pic of the wrap you received for us to properly be able to compare them. Based on the pics we do have, the blue in the website photo appears to be more in the cyan/electric blue range, and the wrap you received appears to be more in the royal blue range...

If a gun was put to your head to choose one player to pocket a difficult shot for you, who would you choose?

Speaking of Jose Parica and long thin cuts, take a look at this video. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1132488995403170

Schon sl6 price with 6 shafts?

That is a little too vague to even get in the ballpark I would think, especially without pictures. I'm also guessing that you would get the most out of it though, whatever that will be, by selling the butt with just two shafts, and then selling the other four shafts separately. Providing this...

    Advice on selling ivory-inlayed cue.

I haven't kept up with how the price has been affected the last few years, but there is no doubt in my mind that the value of cues with ivory in them (with possible exceptions for some cues that are particularly important in some way) will in general be going down soon, and by a good bit, if the...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

You missed my point completely. It wouldn't matter if every cue maker in the world preferred the balance to fall within the parameters you laid out. It wouldn't matter if every other pool player in the world preferred the balance to fall within the parameters you laid out. If, after some...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

Essentially you are just saying that there is a narrow range of balance points that is "correct" for all cues and pool players. Your "proof" is that you say that the cue makers that you are the most fond of tend to build their cues within this narrow range of balance points. That's all...

    Vietnam P3?

As others have alluded to, in the last few years pool has been hitting great heights of popularity in the country of Vietnam. It is has become a hotbed for pool and they are even doing pro events there fairly regularly now. Presumably with this cue Predator is looking to cash in on this new...

    2025 Men's World 10-Ball Championship, Sept. 20-28 -- General Comments Thread

Long read but this will illustrate where you are going wrong on this one. Without realizing it, and even though you are trying not to, you are still at least subconsciously thinking of this as if it is a single race to 4 instead of fully taking into consideration that it is a best of multiple...

Reno Sands Regency & US Open Tables Question

I also remember Diamond tables being used the last few years but I couldn't say exactly when it started, it's a bit fuzzy now. Accu-Stat was not there the last few years though. Again, can't say the exact years, but Accu-Stat definitely wasn't there after about 2004 or so anyway but can't...

Parallel vs BHE vs tuck and roll vs "intuitive" English vs whatever else you use.

If I am understanding you correctly, I would add that at a certain point it starts diminishing again. Imagine being only a ball off of the long rail near the corner pocket, and shooting with running english to a spot near the side pocket of the same long rail. I think the speed up effect would...

    Pinnacle cues, Cary NC

I agree, but mostly due to the design and materials choices. The workmanship doesn't actually look all that bad to me, especially for a lower end cue.

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

This is absolute hogwash and does not provide a "best hit", as if such a thing even exists. It does however provide the weight and balance point that many people prefer (and that some others don't) based on their personal preferences. Many cue makers make heavy shafts for these reasons: 1...

    Faraon vs. Zhu Xi He

I mistakenly said Matchroom but had intended to say WPA and Predator. Good that Matchroom is aware of it as well though. I agree, if they were aware of it during the match, and I don't know if they were, the Tournament Director/people at their direction should have been fully investigating...

    deflection

A higher deflection shaft will generally jump better. It can also be of some advantage to someone who happens to use back hand english and the appropriate bridge length for that shaft to most take advantage of the squirt cancellation effects (has to be a fairly high deflection shaft to have a...

    Faraon vs. Zhu Xi He

They can only address it if they are aware of it of course, and it isn't uncommon in situations like these for everybody to be thinking "well surely somebody else has already brought this to their attention" and so nobody ends up reporting it. Does anybody know if Matchroom has actually been...

CSI banned me from BCA state tournament due to a google review

I said that money was forced to be redistributed in a new way since Amazon now had to take that bonus money that went to the great employees who deserved it, and now it is having to be used to get the crappy employees up to the $15/hr that they never deserved but which has now become mandatory...
