    Playing sets vs races

I enjoy this format a lot. It was fun to watch in person because fans would flock to the area where a shootout was happening. I also like how the format makes it so no player ever feels they are out of it.

Clean Gleem Polisher Review from an owner...

At first glance, one would think my old Bludworth does not rotate the balls. If you watch for a little while you will see the stripes on the ball oscillate from fat to thin as the balls' axis of rotation changes slightly. Since the actual polishing is done by the pads surrounding the balls, the...

    Waste of money pool items

Weird. You're the only person I've heard who has had this issue. As far as cleanliness being a new issue, that is not my experience. I had been trying different chalks for the last couple years due to how messy some can be. Regular Predator chalk will leave marks on my table and turn my hand...

How I got my POOL NICKNAME

Nicknames are cool -unless you come up with it yourself.

How to clean felt table top

I have used a dedicated vacuum with the rotating brush for several years on Simonis cloth and never had an issue. The vac is very light so perhaps that is why I haven't had any problems from the brushes. I had brushless prior to this one but they did not do as well getting the chalk form...

Jayson Shaw First Contracted Pro on WNT

I was replying to a post about US rooms buying CH8B tables. Not gonna happen.

Jayson Shaw First Contracted Pro on WNT

I prefer 10ball because I do not think any World Championship should be determined by luck. There is NO WAY 99% of pool fans would rather see 9ball than 10ball. No one should win off the break either, if we're being serious.

Jayson Shaw First Contracted Pro on WNT

The Chinese 8ball angle won't fly in the states. We can't get most rooms to spare the space for 9 foot tables as it is. More tables/sq. ft., more money.

    Taom Chalk

I have this one. I don't use the clip but I do like the two different holders to switch as the chalk wears. I use a clip from a different holder I no longer used...

Jayson Shaw First Contracted Pro on WNT

Is there an argument here somewhere? Both MR and WPA want control and are forcing players to choose which opportunities they have to miss. I will not defend either of the two power-hungry parties. How does the Predator tour affect the two ruling orgs? Are they allowed to play in those events...

    Rhino CF shafts....159bux, free ship

I only switched because some dullard damaged one of my custom cues that came back from refinishing only two weeks prior. I decided then that I would no longer bring a nice, custom cue to a pool hall. I bought the CF because it's much more difficult to damage and if broken or stolen. can be...

Jayson Shaw First Contracted Pro on WNT

Yep, these players are voluntarily limiting their opportunities.

    Waste of money pool items

Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but it's you. I've been using V10 chalk for 10 months and have noticed no difference in frequency of miscues. My table is a heck of a lot cleaner though.

When Working on Your Fundamentals - Maximum Number of Key Thoughts You Can Work On at One Time

S Same. I have a few things I think about during the PSR process and the stroke. After a miss, I will often remember what I forgot to do. It is maddening when this happens, because my pocketing success is easily twice as high when I focus on the things on my mental checklist. My first rack or...

Jayson Shaw First Contracted Pro on WNT

I prefer players to be allowed to play where they want. It's a shame that groups of people who host events care more about controlling the sport than growing it.

    Rhino CF shafts....159bux, free ship

Coming from maple, I first tried the Revo 12.9. It was my 1st real LD shaft. I then switched to Cynergy, then the Revo, then back to the Cynergy. At first, I felt it deflected a bit more than the Revo but later found that it was in my stroke. A Cynergy, hit with a smooth, accelerating stroke...

    The 100 Shots of Pool

Thanks for the work you do compiling mountains of data for us bangers. It already takes me forever to get through Bert's workout with only 20something shots. Not sure I can stay awake long enough to practice 10zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Need new breakcue - what do you recommend?

I tried to get the JF BRKR but it was on back order so I bought the Little Monster. Once I scuffed the top layer of the hard, clear mystery tip, it broke 2x as well as it did prior. I was very happy with the hit and the control. However, the tip wore VERY quickly after that shaping and I...

I tried ordering the Komet break cue but no dice. It won't take a CC. PP is out of the question so... rats.
