Their new 3rd gen shafts do play very well, I changed to a 314'3 along with a predator butt recently and I must admit that I am positively surprised on how well I am playing with the new setup. It just works well for my stroke :o

I'm fairly sure that is Shanes play cue, not his breaker :rolleyes: The wrap idea is a bit out of the ordinary I must admit but it seems to work well for him. I coulnd't see myself ever playing with something like that though, skinny butts all the way for me :wink:

Scott here knows what he is talking about. It is funny how the stories change over time :rolleyes: From one shaft broken by abuse to several shafts broken by play in one event :grin: I'd love to try one out. Too bad there aren't any near where I live so I see some $ burning in the future...

Have you considered just selling the cue you clearly aren't happy with and buying either something really cheap and good like a Players cue or the Diveney sneaky you speak so highly of? I honestly feel bad for you after so long of flipping cues and endless threads on subjects more or less...

Good to hear you like the cue :smile: I bet it performs as well as it looks. Mezz makes some of the toughest gear out there so you should be just fine breaking with your play cue without worrying about breaking it :rolleyes:

Inspired by this thread I pulled the trigger on a Predator Classico special edition cue from Seyberts to decide for myself if I find Predators overpriced pieces of garbage as the majority of responses suggest. Bought it with a 30" 314'3 and to my own surprise I love it. Everything about it...

To get back to this with my final view on these tips after playing with both the Medium and Hard version of these. They are great feeling tips, both of them. The hard feels very crisp and has a hard feel to it but without the annoying *clink* sound that many other hard tips are notorious for...

Good to hear you like the shaft! Hopefully Schön can regain some of the market with their own LD shaft. I liked their cues but never got used to the massive squirt on the standard shaft. Thanks for the review:smile:

Mezz does make some very good playing cues. I prefer the ones with the United joint :wink: They are reasonably priced considering their quality is up and and beyond outstanding. EC7 series and the sneaky pete style MSP serie are good places to strike a bargain on one if one was to consider a new...
