I recommend buying from AzB's own Pooldawg8. Really nice guy to deal with and his duds are the best out there

Thoughts on Lucasi Hybrid and other mid range cues?

Thanks for the reminder! I cant believe I forgot a brand like Joss from my list  They have great looking cues within my price range, thanks for the suggestion  Thank you all for your responses! I will make a pick between a Lucasi, Joss or a HXT when I am able to spend some on...

Thoughts on Lucasi Hybrid and other mid range cues?

I am in the process of getting my home room some nicer cues for my friends and family to play with and Lucasi cues caught my eye. LHF10 seems like a pretty cue that would look nice in the rack and maybe I would play an occasional rack with it myself. How do you feel about them? I would...

    The new (to me) shop........sorta!!!

Really nice shop you got there  Please keep us in the loop as you get things done. That is going to be one hell of a shop when all is said and done. May I ask if this is your hobby or a job? Just asking out of curiosity as that kind of space allows for a lot to be done ;)

    The Shanghai Masters 2016

Great event so far and it will only get better. Camerawork is pure class and there has already been some great matches like Higgins - Selt that I watched last night  I can only wish that there was a pool event as well maintained as televised snooker events :frown:

    Bar House Cue Tips

I like elks for house cues too. They are actually nice to play with once they get played in and they last quite long even for bangers  I have seen too many triangles and lepros with bits of them missing from the sides... I have no idea how people can get the tips so badly beat up but...

    Hammerhead review.

I got a few Hammerhead jump and break tips and a piece of Hammerhead rod to make a ferrule out of it. I thought to write up my thoughts on the tips and show a few pictures :) I started off by installing a Hammerhead tip on my old Players J/B that now has a G10 ferrule to see how the tip...

    MORER UPDATES PLEASE-Moori RUBY TIP

I recently installed both the Ruby and Malachite tips and I must say that I was very impressed with both tips  Ruby is the hardest of the new Mooris as Kim said but it is not too hard to play with. Feels a lot like a good Kamui original medium. Holds chalk well enough for me to not have...

Very informative, fun and interesting DVD. I would definitely recommend buying it, its great :) Rodney is a really cool person and his charismatic character makes the film just that much better.

13mm+ Shafts, what is there to choose from?

I like the feel of a stiff shaft and it just looks right to my eye. And feels more comfortable in my rough hands  I had a 11.75 shaft once. For a week... Couldn't make a ball with it :frown:

13mm+ Shafts, what is there to choose from?

I have been looking for a slightly larger shaft to try out for some time. I have been playing with 12.75 most of my playing career but I feel like it is a bit flimsy for my large and coarse hands. I have looked in to Predator 314'2 Fat, OB Classic+ XL and Meucci Bar Box pro. Are there any other...

Slicing a billiard ball in half

A bandsaw would be my choice, preferably one that has a jaw to hold the workpiece so you dont cut off your fingers

New Sib Layered Cue Tip AZB Prices

I really like these tips a lot. I had a medium on a Jacoby shaft, decided to try my usual Zan M on it. Played with the Zan for a couple hours only to realize I actually prefer a SIB. Cut it off and back with the SIB M again  After a mushroom trim after some 5 hours these require very...

    For custom cue owners.

I have played with WX700 and HP2 both for several months and I strogly prefer the HP2 of those two. It is a little more "rigid" meaning it isnt as flexible as WX700 but it feels a lot better especially when playing close shots that require precise position play. Its also more forgiving when you...

    For custom cue owners.

Anyone knows a cue that hits like the pre-dot Meuccis?

The tip is a major factor here. I suggest trying out a SIB tip, either Pro or Medium. They give a smooth, delicate feedback in my experience  Its a cheap investment, Tom Hay sells them here at AzB. May even give you the feel you are looking for. I have a Medium on a Jacoby Edge shaft and...
