    kiln drying wood

No, I have a machine shop and steel fab business. Most of the machines I use for cues are also used for my real job. Guess the million dollar comment was kind of not needed because it does not really matter. Not sure why things pop in my head sometimes.

Any guesses on who made this cue?

Old Mobley? His new logo is a stylized RM.

I have well over a million dollars in wood and equipment and I build about 10 cues a year. When it comes to wood I am right near the top when it comes to quirky. Feel free to call if you wish to talk. 352-551-7171 between 7am to 5pm EST.

    Update on my mystery cue...

Looks like a delrin butt plate. Since it does not glue it is common to hold them on with a bolt.

    Old Growth shaft

I just got done cutting 50 shafts to ,02 over. Here is the lightest one. As you can see it has nice color and pretty tight growth rings. And here is the heaviest. It only has 6 rings. Can't tell much about a shaft just by looking at it.

What kind of tip is this?

Bumper? I'm not familiar with any expensive pads. Cheap has nothing to do with it. I use a pad because I don't cap my ferrules. With a pad you can get many tip changes and never touch the ferrule.

What kind of tip is this?

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Got these a while back. After a little dissecting and looking I decided they would make great shelves.

    West System pumps

Dixie cup and a scale. I do use the pumps but only to make it easier to get it in the cup. The only time I use a full pump is when I am doing veneer stacks and need a lot of glue. Even then I verify the mix on a scale. Oh, and I don't throw away the cup until the next day. If it does not kick...

Yeah, but be patient. I have to finish up ones for some ClassicCue guy, a Worm and two Massholes.

    best price on leather wrap?

Why do you want the cheapest? Personally I would want the best for my cue. Cheap cue repair ranks right up there with a cheap vasectomy or discount lasik surgery.
