    Gay tournament update at Felt

Nothing screams attention whore more than repeating yourself when you didn’t get the push back and outrage you were originally expecting. If you’re so worried about “foolishness” why have we never heard you bitching about the church? Kiddie diddler central and not a peep from your compromised...

what do you cut a one piece with?

Well I can’t argue on behalf of stupidity and dishonesty. In fairness you make a reasonable point. When I sell a cue I make it clear that I’m an amateur hobbyist. I’m actually way better at sourcing and stabilizing wood than I am making a cue. Honestly, because people have helped me. No...

what do you cut a one piece with?

The cue making industry is dying a slow death because of gatekeeping. Why we can’t just help people is beyond me. I guess we prefer big box stores selling canned goods. I had a great mentor in WilleeCue. Never once make me feel like I asked a dumb question or was too stupid to learn. I’m still...

    UV wood finish

I could probably use some work on my buffing technique. I started with Woodturners finish. Doing what I can to avoid spraying clear coats. Then moved to Brite Tone and found it sanded to a polish really easy with minimal problems. I could buff it out nicely but not quite where I wanted it...

    UV wood finish

Interesting. Gonna have to dig a bit to order any as it’s only sold through a distributor. Best brush on I’ve used has been Crystalac Brite Tone. If this is reasonable I may take a look at it.

    Anyone use epoxy for rings?

I've never done it so I might be talking out my ass but when you double dye I believe your base dye is just a soak with the secondary color under vacuum. Or vice versa. You'll definitely need a value to slowly pull vacuum. Other wise you'll bubble over. When I stabilize I use a valve and...

    Anyone use epoxy for rings?

Have you looked at TurnTex? They have dyes and chambers as well. That’s where I bought my stuff. However your DIY might be easiest. Seems you’re basically set. With that lid you definitely want some kind of relief valve. Probably a quick disconnect too.

    Anyone use epoxy for rings?

If you start making billets or rings let me know. I’ll buy some. We need some innovation and creativity. I’ll try anything. You can get a chamber from woodcraft. I’d do that before winging it.

    Anyone use epoxy for rings?

I think it might be more durable than Bakelite. Which is something I routinely buy for cue rings. Just bought these not long ago and they seem to be solid and machine well. I’ve seen a ton of vintage cues(Think Rico Cervantes) with this stuff both broken and intact. Figuring it’s mostly about...
