    Hercek Wrapless

If you want a full splice cue there are more makers out there now. Jerry R makes a great full splice that plays and I think you'd have it in a year or less. I have heard good things about Travis , Blackcreek cues . I haven't played his full splice but have owned one of his cues and was impressed...

    Hercek Wrapless

I waited ten years for my Hercek and although I won't be buried with it I will have it with me. Joel was a true gentleman to work with but last I know is book is closed. As stated your best bet is the secondary market but I doubt you'll get a steal.

Who is the #1 most in demand cue maker in the world today?

Sorry for my error on the number of cues Joel produces in a year. How ever every thing else that said of him is true he is a perfectionist, great to deal with, keeps you informed and produces works of art that play.

Who is the #1 most in demand cue maker in the world today?

I don't know Southwest production but I'd guess between 50 and a 100. Hercek maybe 50. A note as well that $4000.00 is on the high side I maybe wrong but I believe when I ordered my Hercek Joel's basic cue started at $2500.00. You are correct that just because a cue is expensive doesn't mean it...

    Southwest Question

That's interesting that they alternate the pin material and length to adjust for weight and balence. It makes sense how ever I hadn't really given it much thought.

Who is the #1 most in demand cue maker in the world today?

Highest demand here's a few, Southwest, 12 year wait till your name comes up. Barry & Joel, not even accepting requests, Dennis has orders for life, Scruggs, Schick, retired. Many others in the 2-3 yr range. JR will get you a cue in under a year and DON'T think that means they are inferior they...

    Southwest Question

I don 't own a Southwest, I have owned a Southwest, not built for me, and I will own a Southwest , being turned now. My question is Southwest other than a few nay sayers seem to be highly regarded for playability. Other than a small number of Southwest cues they are relatively unadorned. As far...

    want to buy Southwest Spot!!!

Laurie has been very forth right when my name came up I was called and we discussed woods rings, taper etc. Delivery time is open end from 8-12 months. In my case one of the two cues I ordered will be longer. Also ebony was off the table when I was discussing my cue. One of the two cues is am...

    Cue Insurance

that's why I got a rider on my home owners. it was easy. Yrs ago when I had my Gus I forgot it in the bar more than once, fortunately everyone knew me and it was all ways there. I didn't have Joel build me the cue of my dreams not to play it.

    Cue Insurance

It cost me $144.00 a year to insure my John Bender for $1500.00 and my Hercek for $7000.00. I maybe should of gone higher on the Hercek but at least if the worst happens I am not up the creek.

    Cue Insurance

Has anyone else insured their cue. I play mainly in a bar so I decided to have my cues insured. It wouldn't replace the cue but it would lesson the sting.

    John Bender Cue # 66

Thanks for the kind comment. If someone isn't acquainted with John's cues I have 2 and I was impressed enough with the premade cue that I bought to commission this one. A correction to my post to; this wasn't John's first leather wrap but his first Kangaroo wrap.

    John Bender Cue # 66

I am considering selling my John Bender, I am having a Southwest built as I write this but it is still 8-12 months away. This cue has been used but not abused. This is the first leather wrap that John did and it is good but not perfect how ever it is not bad either. I will consider a $1000.00...
