He says no one would play him on 4 inch pockets. What a thing for a 9-ball player to say. The best pocketers on the planet have to be the snooker players. guys like Davis and Drago. That's the bottom line.
not ripped off
I'm not going to say anything about being ripped off. But last year, when the Predator 10-ball championship was held in Fla., my buddy was going to play. I looked at the hotel rates, and suffice it to say that we got a better deal completely ignoring the tournament rates. To...
Gama may be a great guy, I have nothing against him. but I did notice in the last game that just as Corey was shooting the 10, Gama scratched his chin. Gama was in his line, and he picked that time to scratch. Hmmmm.
tough 9-ball
I thought the 9-ball was a real tough shot. He had every possibility of scratching in the side, if he tried to put it in the corner, and could have scratched in the corner if he tried to put it in the side. Really, at that point he should have played a safety.
Kudos to Charlie Williams. The live feed is very good, and the field is super strong. This is a great event, and I'm sure Charlie has worked hard to make it come true.
Corey does weird stuff like that sometimes. He is, by the way, a champion playing every shot with the bridge. In this case, Mika probably thinks Corey is messing with him, but I think it's probably that Corey is so far behind.
This launching of the cue ball is a problem that I have, it's the most frustrating aspect of pool for me. For me what has been working lately on those crucial draw shots, is to focus on the cue ball at the moment of impact, and to make sure not hit it too low. Try that and see if it works for you.
Easy Pickin's
The entry is $5, with $500 added. It is open, so it should be easy money for a roadie. I don't know if it's double elimination or not. It starts at 1 pm on Saturday.
Costa Rica
I was down in CR a few years ago, and the better players played on a 10' table, and they played like there was no difference at all. I believe that for pro players, they should play on a 10' table with pockets at whatever narrow angle is appropriate.
