    Wood Joining Technique Opinion Question

Thanks, I kind of thought so. Are there any advantages one over the other? From a materials stand point that is. My interest is in educating myself technically before I decide to purchase purely on aesthetics. It's the geek in me....

    Inconsistent stroke

Forgot Basics As a casual player, the one thing that will through off my shot most often is forgetting to stay with it. I have often watched my fellow players(old bunch of VFW buddies) start to raise up, in mid stroke. I do it less often but every now and then I catch myself getting down on a...

    Jawing the pocket problem

The table is probably one of the worst you can imagine. I belong to a very poor VFW. No funds to repair the gear. Dead rails, uneven pockets, worn to death cloth and the old style over sized QB on a 7.5 by 3.5 ft box. I repair the dozen or so old style Dufferin's as best I can. I have a decent...

If You Could Give One Single Bit Of Advice To A Lower Level Player . . .

Pocket speed, object ball only needs to fall into the pocket, not rocket in off the backstop. control the shot, not visa versa.

    Jawing the pocket problem

Opinions please, I have this shooting issue. Almost every time I miss a shot it will normally end up with the OB bouncing between the jaws of the pocket. It happens on cuts and straight in lines. I have asked friends and opponents alike to watch my stroke but the feedback I get is unreliable. I...

Help!!! I NEED A NICK NAME

My Suggestion, Lady M. I thought about how your name would sound being announced on TV and this is what I came up with,The pink font you used on your post provided the influence for the clip art drawing mock-up. Best wishes and good luck.

    Anyone Still Carving Designs?

I found this picture online while researching antique cue's. I prefer a no wrap style and was wondering if this style of grip area checkering is still being done (professionally)anymore?

    Bad Back Blues

Time in stance My issue is very limited neck range of flex . Although I can get down on a shot, I can't raise my head to sight the cue. I adopted a longer pre shot routine where my alignment is done almost entirely in a standing position . Then carefully taking a stance over my cue that keeps...

    Interesting Design, Hows the Play?

Anyone out here playing with the Poison Nitro series cue? The HEX design looks very interesting to me. The web site also is cool but I'm a made in the USA advocate. Anyone know where they are manufactured?

    Very Closed Stance Question

In my zeal to discover why my shots are missing the target (pocket) I have noticed that most missed shots are only off by fractions of an inch. I know, miss an inch miss a mile. Anyway I am looking at all aspects of my pre shot set up. I have noted that the “comfortable” stance that I get into...

    Pre Shoot Aim Point

Well, I am one of those still learning, after years of trying, without anyone ever explaining things. I allways expected that if I just play enough i'd get better naturaly. Well that didn't work. I have this problem where I'll go along fine making good shots and the start missing like crazy. So...

    Please describe the diamonds.

Why the diamond points are on the table, that I understand. But they outline a grid. eight feet by four. 1ft.x 1ft squares. I just started getting into the "points" system and was reading an article on single bank shots where the author refered to a grid square as a diamond. I actualy thought he...
