With American pool in the state that it is, I find it pretty fitting that our #1 player is skipping the China Open and Turning Stone for the USBTC. Even more fitting if he snaps it off. Maybe I'm just too cynical.

400 bucks should get your friend lots of table time to practice, throw a lesson in there too.

Really depends on what you're practicing. I spend the first hour or so shooting straight in shots to iron out my fundamentals, then drills or ghost races. I don't think it's possible to reach full potential through practice alone. You have to throw yourself in the fire and figure out what...
