    Curious about Thomas Cases..

Ron Thomas is one of the finest guys in the biz. A genuine hard working craftsman. If you like the case don't worry about the price. It is likely worth more than is being asked, especially if you are buying directly from Ron.

Anyone have any Steve Cook Stories?

The "Cookie Monster" seemed dominant in every Accu-Stats appearance I can recall. Surely he was one of the best to ever play the fine game of one pocket. I know he died well before his time but with a game like his, I thought I would have heard more about the man. I'm hoping the AZ Membership...

    Please pray for Danny medina

Danny ran 9 racks against Bill Incardona in front of the Accu-Stats cameras. It was the best 9 ball package I ever watched. Billy took it gracefully and when his inning fanally came, he shot with the butt end of the cue first. Danny has magik talent. God heal him and ease his pain

Wanted: Books for Drills, Practice Routines?!!

You should talk with Joe Tucker. He is a powerful player who has written several books and developed several DVD's. Joe is especially strong on the subject of drills and can put you into a program that will improve your game. I believe his AZ name is JoeT. Highly recommended.

    encyclopedia

I have bought and sold several 1st editioins. The book in great shape should bring $300 or more. Vic Stein, in selling many third editions, has spoken to collectors seeking 1st ed's and offering that kind of money and much more. I offered my copy at this year's SBE for $395 and reduced the...

    Modern Day Balabushka

Interesting question. Gus Szamboti made blanks for Balabushka as did Burton Spain or so I'm told. Thus the present day Bushka would be Barry Szamboti or Joel Hercek, both of whom continued the traditional approach of their predecessors. Tascarella, Richard Black and Bill Schick understand...

    Original Flowers Case

There was a John Fernandez who played strong in New England. I watched him gamble it up many times in RI Billiards as a kid and have seen him play a pro event or two. I'm not sure if he is in the New England Hall of Fame, but if not, he probably will be.

    LTB-Schon R-14 stitch ring cue

I took in a Runde era Schon at the SBE this year. The buyer loved the cue but craved the identical design from Pete Tascarella so we worked a trade with cash. Rosewood pointed cue for rosewood pointed cue. What I have is a stitch ring joint Schon with razer sharp veneers, black, red, black...

Cue makers known for their ivory jointed cues

Acousticsguru said it first but I have to say it again... there is just something magical about the hit of a Bill Schick cue with a 3/8X10 pin and flat faced ivory joint. Some cuemakers claim their cues play better with steele. My opinion is that the Schick big pin with ivory is King. Another...

ACA Cue of the year 2012

The accolades are richly deserved. The carousel rings in the wrap section soften the look and the silverwork in the forearm between the boxes is just stellar. A great success. Congratulations Pete and Will.
