Post pics of the cue, the box it came in, etc, just so we can see how damaged. Maybe someone else will buy it off the guy for a reasonable price, if you decide to not take it.

Its all about sticking with something and using it consistently. At first JS was using the Hunter Cue for a while, hence why he shot a video with it. Now he's been playing with an OB-1 for a few months, gotten used to it, of course his new DVD will be him using that OB-1.

Do you plan on moving any time soon? If not, go for the 1 piece slate. Why worry about the slate shifting over time if you don't have to?
