How To Read Rep

How do I look at someones rep and read all of the comments as rep is posted. I know how to look at my rep posts on the user control panel.

When I click others I can see a limited page but some green bar no comments.

Is there a way to see all their rep comments?

Can I see more than the last 5 on my rep comments?

And its only for you. I never saw rep comments left for others, only the total result.

Why do you wanna see other's rep comments? Not gonna change the fact they got rep for a post!

You can only read what's posted on your account.
Funny thing is, about 80% or so of the users who GET rep don't even know they're getting it apparently. They don't know how to look it up. I was here for about 2 years before I figured out something was going on with them green boxes. All the ones who were kind enough to send rep, I never knew about it so never got the chance to thank them.

Now, I find that in sending it out, most of the newer people are probably just like I was...they don't even realize they are receiving it!:D

Of course, you have a small minority who get it from many people but who have never figured out how to give it back to others....:confused:

Rep is really not that complicated when you figure it out. It's kind of fun spreading the love around. I look at them as tokens of friendship. It would be great if you could redeem them like tokens for a free Big Mac or Burger King Whopper every so often!:D Or, even better, trade in blocks of so many for a free Accu-Stat of your choice! :D If that were the case, I would send out mass mailings soliciting points for the next Earl Strickland or Shannon Daulton match!:)

I can't give you rep right now (must spread it around),but you deserve some for a thoughtful post. I was the same way until recently. I didn't know you could see rep comments on the USER CP.

I had no clue that such a thing as rep points even existed until a short time ago. I just now got to looking and found them and was quite surprised. I got 4 this week without even knowing it and I have over 2550 points altogether. I would like, at this time, to thank all of you people who have thrown these at me and if someone wouldn't mind, I would like to be informed about how you go about giving someone rep points as over the years I've seen many posts that deserved them but through my ignorance, they never were sent.

Terry...I have to admit that I was totally unaware of "rep" squares for the first couple of years I posted here. Only just TODAY did I actually figure out how 'read' rep (even if it's only the last 5)...thank you Ray! I have received a ton of rep, by unknown numbers of posters here, and I apologize for not thanking most of them...bad habit! What you say, about it being a 'token of friendship' is a great way of looking at it, and I'll try MUCH harder to "spread it around" more! To all of you who have rep'd me...THANK YOU! I'll try to be more diligent about it myself in the future! :D

Thanks for the response. I am trying to be more interactive and not just a lurker. I was wanting to read the feedback for people who I thought were insightful and then I could look at some threads they were posting in that I had never taken the time to read, Alas the thought using rep to navigate will not work on any control panel page except my own and only the last 5 reps recieved.

I will try to spread a little more rep around my self when I think something is good.
