it's been done. I had a schon shaft from the bay w/ micarta ferrule that had the pilot turned flat. there was another one recently on the bay with flattened pilot/joint.

red did have a another meucci and he did give it to his nephew, sean. that was in the early 90's when he and family had moved to eastern ky. his playing cue I saw in use was a heubler sneaky pete. he had other cues I know. one was made by azb's sherm and was a great looking cue.

just got a new schon shaft from joerackem on the bay. great packing job! round tube inside triangular box. inside a plastic sleeve,bubble wrapped, dense foam at ends to keep all safe and sound. speaks volumes about a professional quality packing job. no newspaper here! lol.
