Had a 3x7 Instroke that was just worn out after 8 years. The padding on the bottom was almost gone and caused a couple of finish chips in my cue. Should have gotten a new case sooner so it was my fault.

I'm guilty too. My worst habit is changing my mind or not being confident when I am down on a shot and not getting up to reset. I do it all the time and probably miss 75% of the time.

Cue ball can hit any rail, if cue didn't hit a rail the 8 would have to break contact with rail then touch any rail.

I purchased a second break cue and set it up with a leather tip. I don't want to modify my Sledgehammer; it hits too good.

I haven't had any trouble either. I use locktite quick tight professional glue (not the gel) and have not had one tip pop off. edit: Since I started using the quick tight glue about 6 years ago

I had Mottey build two blanks (an original 314 and an OB-1) to my cue. The hit of the original shafts are awesome but I wanted to keep those mostly unused. I have shot with a predator shaft for about 10 years now so I am very used to them and don't really want to change. I like the OB-1 as well...

This helps alot. Sometimes caffine and sugar throughout the day can give you a harder crash later in the tourney. If you get in this situation again maybe try to hold off on caffine and sugar until you start getting tired.

Just play for beers but make the rule that the winner has to finish the beer before the rack is over and it will even out soon enough :thud:

5 hour energy shots are pretty good. They don't give you the jitters like energy drinks do. Personally I like to eat a protein or granola bar and drink something with a little sugar in it with it.
