Anyone see that Blackboar cue on Facebook? Ouch.

I respect both cuemakers a ton. But the comparison was unnecessary and not based in reality. I do not have a dog in this fight. Is this going to be the new norm, you see a glue line and now have to point to the world that there is something wrong with the cue? A lot of very good cuemakers are...

Anyone see that Blackboar cue on Facebook? Ouch.

Again.. not sticking up for the sub par work, just a possible reason. The point of my post is the decorum used to "bash" a few cuemakers. I have seen way more customs than you, from the looks of your post. If I spent that kind of time focusing on mistakes, I could have pointed out the negative...

Jump off his nut. Dennis is not even close to Tony in artistic ability. BB's work is hand down more complicated than Dennis' take on standard designs. JV

Anyone see that Blackboar cue on Facebook? Ouch.

This might be the saddest cue post I have ever seen. First I was at the 2000 ish US Open when the owner of the "greatest cueshop" left that show with most if not all the cues he bought with him. Even with Steve Mizerak trying to be his salesman. A few of which made the rounds and these 1/2 joint...

New Sam Engles cases.. not NOS.. brand new...

So yes Sam Engles is building cases and we are the distributor of these cases. They are the 1x2 tube case that Fellini was known for. Some will have latches and some will not. There will be special short runs and either be Fellini fitted or capped... Here are a few examples.... Questions please...

You too can own Paul Newman's Balabushka...

No, we did the owner a solid and picked up the cue for him to make sure that he received the items by someone that knew how to ship and pack them. 2 of the other cues in the picture are sold. I believe the Newman cue was a gift and the person probably went to John Wright or someone to obtain it. JV

    Brand New Sam Engles Cases....

First: Sam Engles has turned a corner, and you know him possibly as Hang'Em High and Tony Clifton from Thoroughbred Cues. Second: A lot of sh*t hit the fan when the shop flooded and they could not continue work. There was some infighting and and it went south quick. Sam came to us, and asked...

    Some Prayers For Pete Margo

I first met Peter at Hi Cue in Elizabeth when I was 12-13 years old. My uncle was playing a straight pool tournament there. He was a nice guy then and I remember him, Jack Colavita, Miz and my uncle discussing straight pool. Here are a few pics... Peter giving a class at Pool Table Magic and...

    Entertaining cue listings

This is attributed to the Blue Book in IMHO. They have the Premier at $ 800.00 in the book. But more importantly it maybe a Sampaio but it is definitely a 70's version. They tried to make them look like American cues with the rings, etc.. The two I show here are the imported versions from the...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Abe collected everything. He has the most ridiculous collection I have ever seen. Cues, cases, balls, tables, cue lockers, cue drawers. He had ivory balls, and in fact he had a closet that if you opened it, vintage boxed sets. He was in the pool game a long time. He would buy, complete lines...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

There was a guy that came around the SBE. He was an older fellow and a ball collector. I had a mint set of II's and he saw them. We talked price, he went around the show, came back, talked some more, went around the show, and finally purchased them. He probably bought 4-5 sets from us. This was...

    Selling cues safely?
